In the nursery, American Art is selected ahead of Alan Devonshire and, possibly, Victorian Bounty. Once again, and as with the previous race on the card, those drawn low are the focal point for the race assessment. Alan Devonshire came good at Newcastle last time and he can keep the improvement coming and run well. American Art won at Pontefract last time when fitted with a first-time tongue-tie and, hailing from a stable that has a marvellous track record, is another to seriously consider. Victorian Bounty scores highly for consistency but her draw could have been kinder. Atheer Dubai has not been disgraced in Group company this season, and Firestreak looked good when winning his maiden - a race that has worked out pretty well - but he then disappointed at Listed level. Their wide draws make us look elsewhere for the selection, which is American Art.
