Verdict

A tricky affair in prospect but with front-runners in the field it is hoped that a tactical race does not ensue. On official ratings, Royal Quarters should be capable of taking the prize. Rated 103 - he is going to be difficult to place but he can make the running and this may well be essential today. He was fourth in the Greenham Stakes though and that said, he has to be given the Teamtalk nod here. Pieter Brueghel made all to win here over seven furlongs in handicap company but has a few pounds to find on the book. He is a tough customer though and should run his race. Funfair Wane is now with Dandy Nicholls after a campaign with Mick Channon. Any monies for him would be significant. He has won over the trip as a two-year-old but that was off a slow pace. With two known front-runners, the race is unlikely to be so today. Grey Pearl is a previous course and distance winner but while she was thought of as a possible French Oaks horse, she is best watched in this grade.
