Verdict

Hills of Gold and Concer Eto landed spectacular gambles on their last starts but they will need plenty of luck in running from their respective draws. The draw has not been too favourable to Ballyhurry. Jim Goldie's admirable six-year-old is likely to be among the market principals today but the draw of thirteen looks unlucky for his backers. The race looks to rest between Parker and Marshallspark. Parker looks to be well-handicapped off a mark of 60. It has taken some time for Bryn Palling's horse to be given some respite by the handicapper and he demonstrated his capabilities off this mark when beating William's Well at Newcastle in a classified contest. Marshallspark has not put a foot wrong this year and has been expertly placed by his shrewd trainer. With professional handling today - he should go very close. Savile's Delight is exposed at claiming level but he is at least well drawn today and a reproduction of a second at Epsom could give each-way possibilities at slightly longer odds. Spindor was a winner last time up and will need to prove he conclusively stays this trip before we will risk our hard earned cash. In a trappy finale, Parker and Marshallspark look the ones to be on against the field.
