In depth

Verdict

English Summer has had plenty of trainers but, now with Richard Fahey, looks set to score again soon after an excellent run in a 1m6f Sandown handicap where he couldn't quite hold the late thrust of Spice Fair. Spanish Plume's last two victories have been at Wolverhampton but he has no problems with fast ground and is just 3lb higher than his latest success. Red Runaway hasn't been in the best of form but won from exactly this mark over the track and trip last year so has to be kept on the right side. TEPMOKEA finished runner-up to Dolphin Village in a better class handicap at Thirsk last week and remains on the same mark so this looks his chance to gain his first victory for Conor Dore.
