      Verdict

      Just over a length separated Short N Sweet and AL GOMRY at York earlier this month with the Easterby filly coming out on top. But the latter was very green that day, walking out of the stalls and then hanging when coming off the bridle. He can reverse that form here and open his account. Bowson Fred may not have handled the heavy ground at Beverley last time but his future probably lies in handicaps. Eastern Racer may be the pick of the newcomers.
