    Verdict

Vivid Diamond made the most of weight concessions to win last year’s renewal but faces a more difficult task this time up against SPANISH MISSION. A Group 3 winner over 1m5f last year, the latter is best at the weights and has switched yards since finishing behind Stradivarius in last month’s Goodwood Cup. Stablemate Diocletian won a handicap over track and trip last season while Reshoun finished well ahead of a below-par Selino when landing a handicap over 2m at Newbury last time. Hereby won a Listed race at Ascot as a three-year-old but was no match for stablemate Manuela De Vega in the Lancashire Oaks on her reappearance.
