Phluke continues in fine form and can prove the answer in the finale, with Sewmuch Character, Nevada Desert, Kirkby's Treasure and No Grouse others to note. This apprentice contest sees Phluke bid for his third win in four starts after successes at Warwick in June, and more recently Brighton where he battled on well to beat Night Wolf. He is very capable at this level and has obvious claims in this company. Sewmuch Character has dropped to a favourable handicap mark and showed at Folkestone last week that his turn may be near, while Kirkby's Treasure is a bit in and out but could make the frame at least if on a going day. Nevada Desert may find this trip on the short side, and No Grouse has to contend with stall 12 but has a couple of victories to his credit this term. With question marks over most of them though, Phluke has leading claims.
