Compton Dragon, Court of Appeal and No Greater Love are shortlisted in the finale and the vote is given to Court Of Appeal. Course and distance form can count for a lot at Chester and our selection is one of two course and distance winners in the field. He ran really well in the Cumberland Plate at Carlisle last time and if he can reproduce that effort here then he should go close. Compton Dragon is probably better on a faster surface but he ran with great credit last time despite their being juice in the ground when he chased home Charlotte Vale at Hamilton. He is respected here, along with No Greater Love who returns to the level after a successful spell over hurdles. Prelude has got form here and is well drawn so could provide some each-way value, but Court Of Appeal makes plenty of appeal and gets the vote.
