Broken Applause has the plum draw and he can take advantage of that to beat the likes of Captain Gerrard and Kersaint. Richard Fahey trains the selection and she won well on her debut when beating Foreign Rhythm at Haydock. She ran very green that day so she is sure to have come on for the experience and providing she handles this quicker ground then she should go well. Captain Gerrard has the ability to win this but he is hard to recommend from his unfavourable draw, even though he bolted up here last time. Kersaint finished behind Captain Gerrard last time and although both have all-important course form, he is another that has not been done any favours by the draw. Style Award arrives here in good form but he has the outside draw and he will need plenty of luck-in-running to make his mark. The draw looks the key to this race and with a number of the fancied runners drawn high, Broken Applause can take full advantage from stall 1 and get her head in front.
