Verdict

A novice winner at Beverley, TRUELY ACLAIMED was only beaten a neck at Newcastle on last week’s handicap debut. She gets the vote on that form given Sir Min’s second at Pontefract cane over a shorter trip. Way To Win makes his handicap bow having finished well clear of the rest when winning in soft going at Lingfield but it remains to be seen if he can reproduce that effort on faster ground. Rickenbacker and Mercurial represent last year’s winning yard though neither have threatened recently while Unspoken has returned a beaten favourite the last twice and is handicapping for the first time.
