Despite having only had the one run out compared to some more experienced rivals our preference is for EARL WILD who shaped well on debut and was perhaps unlucky not to get a debut win, whilst Tilliemint represents an obvious danger and Welsh Inlet who was also narrowly beaten last time could be a big threat. The pick wasn't far behind Alben Star at Musselburgh on debut last month and this was a very decent first effort considering he was hampered entering the final furlong. He is likely to have come on for that run and with a potentially improved effort in the pipeline we take Howard Johnson's juvenile to record the win. Tim Easterby's option in this race has been running well but has lacked the cutting edge to grab a victory so far. Welsh Inlet was just beaten near the finish last time at Windsor and there is plenty to like about the way she has been progressing. This is a competitive maiden which can go the way of Earl Wild.
