A wide open finale, with NEW ENGLAND carrying our support, in preference to Thorny Mandate and Gamesters Lady. Mark Brisbourne is the most likely trainer to win this seeing as he saddles four of the runners, and New England looks the pick of the quartet. He likes to lead which can be an advantage here, and ran a sound race when runner up in a similar contest last time out at Newbury with Serena Brotherton on board then too. He's got plenty in hand with the top weighted Inspector Clouseau. Thorny Mandate isn't too far behind in terms of official ratings, and is one of only two course and distance winners in the field, the other being Prelude. Indeed, they're the last two winners of this race. Gamesters Lady has been more effective on the all-weather and was behind New England last time out. Nawamees ran at Southwell on Sunday, finishing outside the frame on a very sloppy track; Isabel Tompsett sprung to prominence earlier this month with a double at Newton Abbot, but this is her first race as a flat jockey. Support for any should be noted, particularly amongst the Brisbourne runners, but we'll side with New England.
