        Verdict

        Man Look defied a wide draw to win over course and distance last time out but is 8lb higher here in a tougher contest and could struggle to bring up the hat-trick. Like a number of these, Energia Fox and Newera both appear to be in handicapper’s grip, and in a moderate contest, preference is for MODERNISM. He took a while to come to hand but has a couple of seconds to his name in his last two outings and has plenty of course experience, not to mention a handy draw and the reliable Franny Norton on board. Course and distance winner Marengo can chase him home.
