Verdict

Dr Marwan Koukash’s Chester runners have to be taken seriously and Gabrial The Tiger is sure to be popular in his bid to bring up a hat-trick, but he’ll find it hard to dominate from stall ten. There are also question marks over Hawatif, who has twice flopped when sent off as favourite, and Captain Revelation, who has run well here, but has been handed a terrible draw this time. In a trappy contest, the tentative selection is CHAPLIN BAY. The four-year-old has put in some consistent performances since moving to Ruth Carr’s stable and is well drawn.
