Dance On By can be expected to leave her seasonal reappearance behind but that may not be enough to beat GERTRUDE BELL, who gets the vote ahead of Myplacelater and Champagnelifestyle. The last-named made a winning debut in 2009 before finishing behind Mick Channon's Music Show, form that has been nicely franked, but she was well-beaten that day and has questions to answer stepping up in trip for her return despite the fact she's bred to stay. With that in mind we much prefer Gertrude Bell who arrives here in form having landed a maiden in taking fashion last time. Officially rated 86 John Gosden's filly has a bit to find on the figures, however we're confident she can rate higher than her mark and so are connections as she holds an entry in the Oaks at Epsom. Myplacelater did well to win at Newmarket last time and the form looks strong with Andrew Balding's well-beaten Gardening Leave having won since. She's officially the best filly on display but perhaps time will show 12 furlongs to be her ideal trip and we're prepared to take her on. Dance On By should continue to progress with racing and the yard's runner have always to be respected, but it must be said her form so far is some way short of what is required. Miss Starlight ran well in a similar race on Sunday but winning this just three days later represents a big ask and both Miss Miracle and Acquainted look set to be outclassed in a race taken to go to Gertrude Bell.
