        Verdict

        Richard Fahey seems determined to land this nice prize as he saddles three of the nine entries. Starlight Romance just collared stable companion Vona over a slightly shorter trip here last month and there is nothing between the pair on today’s terms. But ATTEQ (NAP) can make amends for a desperately unlucky run at Redcar last week, where he was trapped in a pocket and only got out when the first two had set sail for home. Lualiwa has gone up in the weights since his third at York but is in good form whereas Town Charter was the first beaten when favourite at Redcar eight days ago. Wahash doesn’t appear to have an optimum distance and Smokey Lane tries a new trip.
