Grand Scheme was progressing nicely last year and, though he might need this, probably has more scope than stablemate Power Station, who came up against a well-treated filly on his reappearance at Leicester last Saturday. Tough and progressive as a two-year-old, COUL KAT showed that he had trained on when only reeled in close home by Patient Dream at Epsom 10 days ago – another successful campaign looks to be on the cards. Mercurius Power was heading in the right direction earlier in the year but makes his Turf debut and the unexposed Stigwood is having a first run since September having been gelded. Musaytir is inconsistent and has changed stables.
