ROY'S LEGACY sets the standard after a ready success last time at Kempton, sticking on well in the closing stages. He's saddled with a 6lb penalty for that victory which is all but offset by the booking of Danielle McCreery. Previous runs were more than satisfactory in the context of this contest and he will have no problem with ground conditions, having featured in a triple photo on the heavy at Newcastle earlier in the campaign. Russian Bullet, third at Kempton behind the selection, should get closer on these revised terms, but lacks the scope of the topweight. Richard Hughes is a noteworthy booking for Thorpe Bay, whilst Catterick claimer winner, Lady Caprice, and the consistent if limited Emma Jean are not ruled out.
