Verdict

BARTON STACEY will be expected to recoup losses incurred when beaten by Howard's Legacy on his reappearance at Hereford. He had also started favourite on his hurdles bow at Worcester last August and should have too much for these. Bumper winner Decimus hasn't shown much so far over timber and neither has Heliopsis, but Fred The Shred could appreciate the drop in distance and Black Is Beautiful still has time on his side.
