Verdict

Bold Cross scored at Bath last time and Gabrial The Duke was successful at Catterick last week. However, both carry a penalty today and TASTE THE WINE makes more appeal. The latter has won twice over course and distance and this looks easier than his latest task in a higher grade handicap in which he finished third. Rancher won a seller on the all-weather in May and makes his debut for new connections today while Jewelled Dagger remains 7lb higher than his victory over track and trip in the same month.
