Dark Pearl was soon left behind by Zenon having made the early running on soft going here earlier in the month but that probably wasn’t a bad effort. However, ASSIDUOUS caught the eye at Haydock 12 days ago, despite showing obvious signs of inexperience. His stable is in cracking form and it would be no surprise if he took a big step forward from that first run. Normandie Attack is a half-brother to a winner over the trip so makes more appeal than the twice-raced Everlasting Sea.
