        Verdict

        Patching bolted up in a similar contest at Yarmouth a couple of weeks ago so goes on the short-list here. Halinka was just beaten over this trip at Salisbury last time but Auric Goldfinger hasn’t raced since second at Brighton in April. Mark Johnston and Joe Fanning teamed up for a winner at Royal Ascot on Saturday and the partnership can strike again here with KIRIBATI. Sharing top rating, the gelding looked to be coming to hand last time at Hamilton and drops a grade for this.
