Doctor's Cave has been running consistently well of late but may struggle to defy the handicapper following some improved form on the all-weather and preference is for Makabul, who gets the vote ahead of Gavarnie Beau. The last mentioned has slipped to a fair mark and has to be respected on the pick of his form but is on a long losing sequence so may be best watched. Digital is capable of taking a hand in the finish but often flatters to deceive, while Trinculo is probably better over the minimum trip. Endless Summer has won over six furlongs but is another that is probably better over five, while the lightly raced Fun In The Sun remains a maiden and is unlikely to lose that tag against some experienced handicappers today. Makabul has done little wrong of late though, remains favourably treated and he gets the vote.
