Nightspot has done little wrong this season, remains favourably treated and handles cut in the ground so Eve Johnson Houghton's gelding gets the vote to resume winning ways and score at the main expense of Augustine and Dan Buoy. The last mentioned stepped up considerably on his reappearance effort and has to be respected on ground that clearly suits but Alan King's gelding remains a maiden so may be best watched. Parnassian will relish any further softening of the ground but may be a shade high in the weights, while Coup d'Etat is hard to recommend on recent evidence. Mull of Dubai handles cut in the ground but is another that may need some help from the handicapper and of more interest may be Augustine, who has been knocking on the door of late. More solid claims are held by Nightspot though and he gets the vote.
