Eve Johnson Houghton's Acquaviva ran better at Salisbury last week and she has to be considered with the stable among the winners of late but preference is for EREBUS, who gets the vote with Hounds Ditch rated the best of the rest. The selection showed some promise as a juvenile before making a pleasing debut this term when a close third behind Thaliwarru in a handicap over course and distance at the beginning of the month, form on which she looks the one they all have to beat. Mick Channon's Leitzu has not progressed from his win in a maiden here over a mile in August but showed at Nottingham recently that he would not be long before winning again, although he is not certain to appreciate the drop in trip today. Stef And Stelio has to be considered now that Gerard Butler's runners are going better and he makes more appeal than Brendan Powell's Two Kisses, who has disappointed since winning his maiden in December. Eve Johnson Houghton's Hounds Ditch was not disgraced at Bath over the minimum trip last time and should do better over the extra furlong today but Erebus has an obvious chance and looks the one to be on.
