slowly into stride, soon recovered to chase leaders, hung left halfway, soon weakened
chased leaders, hung left from halfway, every chance inside final furlong, stayed on to 2nd close home
chased winner, ridden inside final 2f, pressed winner and every chance inside final furlong, no extra towards finish, lost 2nd close home
made all on rail, pressed and driven inside final furlong, stayed on to assert towards finish
SANNIBEL was only caught close home by good yardstick Supercharged at Wolverhampton earlier this month. Her earlier second to Pinch Of Posh at Warwick was another solid effort and she can make it third-time lucky here. The form book suggests Whitecrest will be her principal rival, though John Spearing's filly has spurned similar opportunities in the past and this will be her 16th start. Ginzan went close over C&D in May but hasn't quite managed to match that effort in two runs since, though still looks a better bet than the once-raced Coalburn and Griffin Point, who is only a plater.
Coalburn 50-1 (8-10) Slowly away, towards rear and outpaced, hung left from over 3f out, never dangerous, 6th of 7, 24l behind Sulis Minerva (8-13) at Ffos Las 5f mdn stks (5) gf in Jul.
Griffin Point (IRE) 14-1 (8-12) Held up in last trio, moderate effort over 2f out, weakened over 1f out, eased, 7th of 8, 13l behind Efistorm (9-8) at Windsor 6f sell stks (6) gd in Jun.
Ginzan 7-2 (9-5) Behind, outpaced over 3f out, wide entering straight, ridden and kept on from over 1f out, never troubled leaders, 4th of 6, 4l behind My Love Fajer (9-2) at Wolverhampton 5f hcp 0-60 (6) pol.
Sannibel 7-2 (8-12) Led, ridden entering final furlong, kept on, caught close home, 2nd of 9, hd behind Supercharged (8-12) at Wolverhampton 5f mdn stks (5) pol.
Whitecrest 11-1 (8-13) Always prominent, chased winner after 1f until ridden over 1f out, kept on under pressure inside final furlong, closed on 2nd last strides, 3rd of 12, 1l behind Swendab (9-1) at Windsor 5f 3yo hcp 0-75 (5) gf.
