Goal Hanger was a well-backed favourite for a maiden auction event on the Polytrack at Wolverhampton last month but only beat one home. The alien surface could have been partly to blame for that effort but he has a bit to prove here. Very Fast Blade was back to his best when third at Wolverhampton last time but is 2lb higher now and hasn't a lot of scope. That is in contrast to FAST ON, who still looked a little green when third at Hamilton on his latest start. Ed McMahon's grey wears a visor today and, if that has the desired effect, the top weight should take all the beating.
