Fife And Drum can be forgiven his latest effort as he was nearly brought down by a faller at Nottingham, early in the race. He was runner-up to Belle D'Anjou in this race last year and runs off a 2lb higher mark this time round. Don Fayruz has been in good form on the All-Weather, but he will have to turn in a personal best to win off this mark and at the age of ten, that is hardly likely. Front-runner Mythical King is ideally drawn to take them along and if he has too easier lead, he could well take a bit of pegging back.
