Not an easy race to call and a chance is taken on ABHAINN to win it for Wales, while Best One and Little Edward could go well. The Bryn Palling-trained pick won successive races both here and at Warwick last year, though he has been unable to cope with higher marks since. He is interesting now dropped back in trip here and will be staying on at the end under a pilot for whom he goes well, so we'll chance him on ground that suits. Many of the others will struggle with the juice in the ground, and that could be the case with Brighton winner Best One, who has also got a 6lb penalty to cope with, and also Little Edward, who seems to reserve his best for the artificial stuff these days. Captain Kallis is by Captain Rio and so may well come into his own with some cut underfoot, while The Jailer goes well here but is now 9lbs higher than a course and distance win earlier in the campaign. She could go close once again, though we just prefer the claims of Abhainn.
