Verdict

Teeton Babysham gets the vote over Mister Quasimodo and Monteforte. The selection was beaten over hurdles at Worcester last time out but he did win on his debut on this track when beating Seeador convincingly. The soft ground suited that day and with give underfoot today that will definitely be a positive as he found the ground too quick when he was defeated at Worcester. He gave the impression that he would be suited by chasing last season and he should be capable of getting his head in front at the first attempt in this sphere. Mister Quasimodo was well beaten in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham last time but he does have some solid form over hurdles and if he can translate that to the bigger obstacles then he is entitled to be thereabouts at the finish. Monteforte has had more than his fair share of problems but he does at least have experience of jumping over fences. However, it would be disappointing if he were good enough to take this contest. Miko de Beauchene has got some decent form over hurdles and will handle the ground so he is another with claims, but for the winner we will stick with the unexposed Teeton Babysham.
