LUCKY CLOVER stepped up on previous efforts to land a fair Bath handicap for the grade quite decisively this month and could well follow up here under a penalty for the in-form Malcolm Saunders team. Conditions are fine for the Lucky Story gelding and not too many of his rivals arrive in the best of form and he's taken to defy topweight. Lizzy's Dream is only rated on 46 but is more consistent than most here and could play a part with Minty Jones, runner-up the last twice at this level, another obvious shortlist candidate. Hot Stuff could prove a threat to the topweight as he's performed with credit in a number of Class 5 contests but the concern is he's yet to prove effective on turf. Indeed, stable companion, Toni's A Star, could emerge as the likeliest threat on the back of a useful Haydock effort latest at a slightly higher level.
