In depth

Verdict

Tom Lacey appeared to unearth some useful types in bumpers last season and OPERATION MANNA confirmed the impression when signing off with a win over hurdles at Exeter. Iberio landed a fair tilt at the ring at Taunton in March and while this track is markedly different, he appears capable of coping with plenty of dig underfoot. Cawthorne Lad should be fit enough to do himself justice while Forever Des Long makes a first start for Claire Dyson and the former Philip Hobbs inmate has had a wind operation since his last appearance on the racecourse. Charlie’s Glance was a beaten favourite at Kempton.
