In depth

Verdict

Hidden Depths completed a double over 1m6f at Bath with last month’s success but is upped 7lb while Pleasure Garden failed in his bid for a four-timer when placed at Pontefract, though this extra distance will likely suit. Tribal Commander returned a 16/1 winner over track and trip recently and should be in the mix again while With Pleasure has placed here the last twice though hasn’t won since 2017. RETROSPECT has finished closer with every start in maiden company and, having found only one too good over 1m4f here last time, Roger Varian’s charge gets the vote now handicapping with an apprentice’s 5lb allowance in his favour.
