A chance is taken that Golden Dixie still has more to offer and is just preferred to Woodcote, Done Pele and Obe Gold. The last named has been struggling with the handicapper lately and does himself very few favours with his consistency. It will take a good effort from him on these terms but he is certainly capable of going close if he gets luck in running. Don Pele readily brushed aside Tony The Tap during the process of winning a valuable handicap at York in June. He was subsequently a shade disappointing at Newcastle and is another that has the ability but needs everything to go his way. Woodcote has been knocking on the door in this sort of company and has a decent prize in him at some point. He is one to seriously consider if there are strong vibes emitting from the betting ring about him. However, Golden Dixie has done very little wrong this term and, as tough and reliable type, he rates as solid each way value in an extremely tricky contest.
