GULLIBLE GORDON was a useful novice hurdler last season and is taken to break his chase maiden tag first time of asking with both Irish Legend and Theatrical Moment worth noting. The selection won a novice event at Taunton last season and was then given an unreasonable rating of 140. He did run well enough in a grade 2 hurdle behind Cape Tribulation at Doncaster back in January but he was not overly raced as his trainer wanted to save him for a chase career. He has the highest hurdle rating in the race and if translating that form he will not be too far away. Irish Legend landed a valuable prize at this track last season and went on to earn himself a mark of 130 over hurdles. He looked in need off his seasonal reappearance over an extended trip and came good at Worcester last time out winning impressively in the process. He looks fully exposed at the age of nine but is sure to win more races throughout the season if staying sound. Theatrical Moment has five hurdle wins to his name and has looked on the up grade. He ran well off a mark of 131 at Cheltenham on his latest start and is sure to be in the shake up come the business end of the race. Gullible Gordon looks the class act and is the one to stay on the right side of.
