A high quality handicap and BARONS SPY is the selection with Thebes and Osiris Way others to make the shortlist. The recent Warwick winner is better known over seven furlongs but that really shouldn't be an issue as he has ran creditable races over this distance in the past. Effective on a variety of surfaces, he appears sure to give a good account. Thebes is a likeable enough sort from the Mark Johnston yard. Expect to see him generating a furious pace from the gate. Osiris Way is consistent. He would not be out of this were the rain to arrive. Galeota and Viking Spirit have shown solid form in top quality handicaps in the past though neither have sparkled this season thus far. Pearly Wey was well held on seasonal reappearance at Royal Ascot though this represents something of a drop in sights. Phantom Whisper has to reverse Warwick form with our selection but seemed well held on the day. Ginobili was last seen when down the field in the Cornwallis Stakes and today will be a debut for Stef Leddiard's stable. Perfect Flight seems to get on well with lady riders and she was far from disgraced when taking on the smart Main Aim last time out. A good race by the track's standards and Barons Spy appears best.
