My Michelle, The Gaikwar and Pure Imagination are the three for the shortlist in the finale and the vote is given to My Michelle. The selection was a good second here before breaking her duck at the 12th time of asking at Leicester last time when beating Queen's Echo. She need only run up to that mark again tonight to get competitive and she is taken to score. The Gaikwar failed to see out the trip over 1m4f last time so that run can be ignored. He has obvious claims here but although he is effective over 7f he is probably better over slightly further and on that basis we will narrowly pass him over. Pure Imagination ran as though coming to hand last time at Haydock over 6f behind Distant Times. However, that is his best trip so the step-up to 7f will not play to his strengths. Go Yellow is capable of getting competitive and he has been running in better races than this of late, but he still has plenty to prove at present and for the winner we will stick with My Michelle.
