Richard Hannon's World Report showed promise on his debut in York's Convivial Maiden at the Ebor meeting but it remains to be seen whether he will be as effective on today's faster surface and preference is for Fine Lady, who gets the nod over Creative Character. The selection made much of the running on her debut here over a mile last month and should do better back in distance today. With the stable's youngsters normally better for the experience the likelihood is that there is more to come from Mark Johnston's colt. Paul Cole's Theatrical colt Creative Character may have found the soft surface at Sandown last time against him and is interesting back on faster ground. He rates a bigger threat than Alan King's Knightsbridge Hill, who has been well held in two starts so far. The Peter Harris-trained Sovereign Spirit and Brandexe from the yard of Barry Hills are probably both capable of better than their debut efforts would suggest but for the vote we side with Fine Lady.
