Verdict
It is tempting to give Thomas Patrick a second look as he is ridiculously well handicapped nowadays and will have needed his run at Exeter after a 400-day absence, though this trip is short of his best. DESTIN D’AJONC weakened in the closing stages on his reappearance at Uttoxeter but will strip fitter here and is only a pound higher than scoring over track and trip on similar going last season. He gets the nod even though Broken Quest is another starting to look well treated and Worcester winner The Mighty Arc improved again when third at Doncaster. Gemirande also warrants a mention having finished second at Southwell last month on his first run over fences in this country.
