In depth

Verdict

BARISTA was second in a decent handicap at Leicester on the last occasion he raced over this trip. If he can run up to that form, Mick Channon's gelding is probably the one to beat here as Could It Be Magic struggles to get his head in front and Novabridge is better over sprint distances. Mister Ben Vereen drops in grade but often takes a keen hold and may prefer an easier track, while Flying Phoenix was well beaten at Kempton on Wednesday evening. Control Chief has been tried over a variety of trips without success and also looks one to be wary of now.
