In depth

Verdict

DRAMATIC SANDS finished last in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot but gave trouble at the start. He’d earlier found only a well-backed Godolphin newcomer too good in a novice stakes at Yarmouth and should make it third-time lucky today if he behaves himself. Michael Bell’s two-year-olds are running well and Cloud Drift is worth a market check being a half-brother to four winners. The betting may also be the best guide to the rest including the 20,000gns yearling Punchbowl Flyer, who has a speedy pedigree.
