        Verdict

        Confrerie loves it here and completed a double on the track when just getting up over this trip early last month. He's only up 3lb and is difficult to oppose but there are signs that HEDGING is ready to score again. He hasn't won since last April when scoring off a 14lb higher mark here but has performed well on the track the last twice and his rider's claim is a bonus. Blessed To Empress got up right on the line to land a course and distance handicap in May but ran poorly on a return visit three weeks later. Pearl Spectre has won nine times on the all-weather but never on Turf though he only just failed to get up over 6f here last week and can race from the same mark so has to be considered.
