Verdict
BIG LACHIE gave notice of an imminent victory when runner-up in a better handicap at Bath and duly obliged on a return visit. He's been here three times in the past and been narrowly beaten each time so get a chance to gain his first track success despite a penalty. Pink Flamingo has looked a few pounds high since completing a double with a victory here in May while Essaka is 8lb higher than his success here early last month. Archimedes could provide the main threat as he led for a long way in a better-class handicap here last week and has been dropped 3lb in the ratings. All Back To Mine got up close home over the minimum at Goodwood in May but finished last when tackling 6f back there last month.
