Evenwood Sonofagun placed in five of his eight hurdle starts in Ireland for Richard O’Brien but his new yard has a more interesting entry in HULLNBACK, a progressive sort in bumpers last season and bred for jumping. A four times winner on the Flat, Fennor Cross was third on his hurdling debut at Galway last month and Petrossian was second twice last season when trained by Paul Nicholls. Deere Mark beat recent hurdles winner Lallygag in a Hereford bumper in March but Twinjets, a winner of a point and two bumpers, looks a bigger danger. Carrigdoun Boy and An Mhi are also worth a second look.
