In depth

Verdict

Both Sivota and Chartreux look attractively weighted and the latter very much caught the eye when third to stablemate Ashkazar on his reappearance over C&D in January. Kayf Aramis won this in 2008 and will appreciate the drop back into handicap company but last year's winner Buena Vista is 5lb higher in the weights this time around. Carlisle winner Knockara Beau was second to the classy Grand Crus here on his penultimate start but is weighted accordingly and Lush Life has disappointed at Sandown since beating Barwell Bridge, Viking Blond and Duke Of Lucca over C&D in December. Alfie Spinner is a consistent sort and can reverse Warwick running with the enigmatic Mobaasher. Nick Williams's six-year-old also appears to have the beating of Micheal Flips but we're also expecting a big run from QUEIROS BLEU. Henry De Bromhead's French import made giant strides last year and ran a nice trial for this over an inadequate trip at Naas last month. That should have put him spot-on and, with the ground drying out all the time, he looks nicely treated off a mark of 134.
