In depth

Verdict

Medinas has been knocking on the door and had Cockney Trucker behind when chasing home Fox Appeal at Kempton last month. At Fishers Cross had to go on the short-list after wins at Ffos Las and Newbury, though has his stamina to prove over this longer trip, while Inish Island won at Downpatrick last time and is lightly-raced. Counting House had Destroyer Deployed behind at Newbury two weeks ago and First Fandango is back over hurdles after winning over fences at Fakenham but may have a few pounds too much. SIVOLA DE SIVOLA was very well backed in a Grade 3 at Haydock last month but weakened from the last having looked the likely winner turning from home. Paddy Brennan will need to keep him covered up here but he has the ability to win this if getting the run of the race. Saint Roque was closing on the leaders when brought down over a shorter trip here last time and could also figure off a low weight.
