Verdict

Paul Nicholls has trained two of the last eight winners of this and had the runner-up last year in Sire Collonges. The grey tries again off a 3lb lower mark but is usually seen in cross-country races nowadays. BENVOLIO (NAP) came right back to form over this trip at Newbury last time. He's been raised 9lb for that but is a better jumper than penalised Ascot scorer Forgotten Gold. Amigo ran well in last month's Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir here when finishing ahead of course and distance winner Perfect Candidate but is inclined to race with the choke out. Warden Hill may need this while Katkeau had a hard race in last month's Midlands National, though is still lightly-raced over fences.
