Max Dynamite has been placed twice in the Melbourne Cup but gets in here on a mark of 141. He's only won once over hurdles but was second in the 2015 Galway Plate and will be ready for this, though there is a question mark over the forecast heavy going and Willie Mullins has not had the best of luck in this race in the past. William Henry has a welter burden but is one of only three previous course winners in the line-up. He beat Red Indian and subsequent Grade 3 winner Topofthegame in the Lanzarote at Kempton in January and comes out best at the weights again, especially as James Bowen takes off a valuable 3lb. But his stable also run BURBANK and Stowaway Magic and they could also go well. The former is preferred on his latest third in a hot handicap at Ascot when cheekpieces appeared to bring about some improvement. Diamond King won this in 2016 but is still 4lb higher. Le Breuil is the one with most potential but was only second in a four-runner race off this mark at Aintree when last seen. Barra and Bastien could have each-way claims nearer the foot of the weights in a wide-open renewal.
