LEOMAR, a dual winner on the Flat, had a dozen starts over timber in Ireland without scoring but would have done so when last seen at Downpatrick in July but for a last-flight fall. His overall form gives him the edge and, if he's ready, he can gain compensation. Winning bumper World Premier looked the likely winner here last month though could only plug on at one pace when headed but Sable Island, a winner at Chester last summer, was a disappointing favourite on her debut over timber at Hereford, though will have come on for the experience. Lungarno Palace has changed stables since runner-up in a moderate handicap on the Polytrack at Lingfield in January but Pirate Look won a maiden at Redcar for Marco Botti and won't mind the conditions. Blenheim Warrior won a Salisbury handicap for Richard Hughes and is another newcomer to keep an eye on.
