Verdict

Coole Cody is well on the way to achieving legendary status around here after a fourth course victory last month when Stolen Silver was more than eight lengths away in fourth, though Evan Williams’ front-runner has gone up another 7lb and is now on a career-high mark with several of today’s rivals given a good chance on past form. Simply The Betts is one and MANOFTHEMOUNTAIN is another though the latter, along with Espoir De Guye, was never travelling at Kempton last month. However, Emma Lavelle’s charge plotted a very wide course and was returning from a break at the Surrey venue and he is now only 5lb higher than an easy winner of this 12 months ago. Torpillo is an improver receiving weight all round so can’t be ignored.
